Oh how the girls love Matt

We headed back to the mall at Taipei 101 today. We were so tired the first day, it was sort of a daze for all of us.

The best part of the whole visit? The Taiwanese girls fawning over the boys. Seriously. There were several school kids there and several groups of girls walking around together. We'd hear "oh so cute" and giggling as we walked by. They literally pointed and smiled and tried to get our attention.

Then it happened...much to Matt's chagrin, they asked to take a picture with him. They asked ME if they could take a picture with him so of course I said Yes! They wanted "lee-til bruh-ter" too please. So here's a picture of them taking a picture of the boys and one of the girls.

They were all so cute and nice and I wasn't about to dash their hopes of having a picture made with a cute American boy. The look on Matt's face was priceless. I tell him that moments like that are what makes being a mom so fun. I asked him if he thought it was the Beiber haircut. Nathan broke out into "Baby, Baby, Baby" and Matt rolled his eyes.

Seriously, does being a mom get any better?

So we checked out more places in the mall, and had lunch at a Teppanyaki place (like Hibachi). It was delicious and I'm sure we entertained all of the patrons with our use of the chopsticks. At least Nathan didn't stab the steak to pick it up this time.

The spinach soup wasn't such a big hit. For any of us. But I'd eat that steak any day..it was delish!

Then we hit Baskin Robbins again. Love me some mint chocolate chip!

The super market had a large display of heaven. For 109 NT (that's one hundred nine New Taiwan Dollars or a little over $3) you could have a 36 pack of Dr. Pepper.

The boys wanted some more Frosties as they call them here.

And then...they descended upon us again. A different group of girls had been following us in the store. The giggles were unmistakeable. And sure enough, they finally had the courage to ask me if they could take a picture of the boys.
Uh, yes please! Then I took a picture of them and they loved it.

On our way out to the taxi line we accidentally went down one level too far...and found this. Scooters are EVERYWHERE in this city and they go where they want, when they want. They often have 2 or 3 people on them, including kids. Guess this is where they park at Taipei 101. There were literally hundreds all crammed in, in every direction.

Outside we got a great shot of the tower..it's so high and you can't even see the top in this picture.

The ball on top of this fountain is free floating. It spins and stays in the center. These types of fountains seem to be very popular here.

Andy and myself at one of the entrances to the mall.

Later this afternoon we are headed out to the Longshan Temple and Night Market. We are saving the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial and maybe Taipei 101 again for Thursday with Katelyn. It all depends on how comfortable she is being out in all the crowds. We shall see!
